My First Time to Boracay

My partner and I recently visited this stunning island, and I can’t wait to share our experiences — from the serene beaches to the amazing resort where we stayed.
Arrival and First Impressions
Getting to Boracay was a breeze. We took a short boat ride to the island, and although I usually struggle with motion sickness, I had no issues at all thanks to some preventive meds. Stepping onto the soft, white sand of White Beach and seeing the crystal-clear water was amazing!
Staying at Henann Lagoon Resort
We stayed at the Henann Lagoon Resort, which was absolutely amazing. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had all the amenities we could ask for. A delightful surprise was discovering that our booking included breakfast in a VIP lounge. It was less crowded and offered a variety of delicious breakfast options, including American, English, and Filipino breakfasts. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, and they quickly learned my coffee preference, making my mornings even better.
One of the highlights of the resort was the pool bar. We spent a lot of time lounging in the pool, enjoying delicious drinks and pizza right from the water. The bartenders were fantastic, and it was such a unique experience to relax in the pool while enjoying great food and drinks.
Exploring the Beaches
The beaches in Boracay are legendary for a reason. The powdery white sand and crystal-clear water were perfect, and the weather was just right — not too hot and not too cold. We spent plenty of time lounging by the shore, soaking in the sun, and enjoying the serene atmosphere.
Tours and Sunset Cruise
Midway through our trip, my family’s partner joined us, and we decided to go on a sunset cruise. We boarded a paraw, a traditional Filipino sailboat, and set off on a relaxing voyage across the sea. The views of the sunset were breathtaking, and though we did get a bit wet, it was all part of the fun. Just be sure to bring a waterproof bag for your belongings!
Dining Experiences
We made the most of our stay at the resort by indulging in room service and dining on our balcony. The ambiance was perfect — fresh air, a gentle breeze, and a gorgeous view. We also explored the local food scene, from grabbing pizza and desserts at Shakey’s to enjoying a warm, comforting meal at Nonie’s. Another highlight was dining at Mang Inasal, where we savored some delicious Filipino comfort food.
Memorable Moments
Our time in Boracay was filled with memorable moments — from relaxing in the pool bar to exploring the island and enjoying a sunset cruise. Every experience was unique and unforgettable, and we can’t wait to go back to this tropical paradise.
